Hope sold her steer at the livestock sale!!

Jasper livestock show- Hope's steer

Howdy!

This weekend Matt and I had the treat of spending time with Matt's family at the livestock show and sale in Jasper.

Hope showed a pig and a steer. Matt and I and cousin, Colin, chipped in to buy Hope's pig. We look forward to enjoying delicious ham, pork chops, ribs, bacon, sausage once the pig is processed at the local processor. Yum!

Hope's steer was sold in the sale and brought a nice profit!

Hope's steer was named Matthew.

Purple beans have sprouted!

Howdy!

We soaked the purple beans in water the evening before we planted them. Imagine our excitement to see a row of purple bean sprouts one week after we had sown them!

God is our almighty creator! Praise Him for the vegetables he provides for us and for the opportunity to watch them grow from seed!

Turnip greens sprouted in our backyard garden!

Howdy!

Thank God for the light, refreshing rain this week. We are excited to see turnip greens and purple beans sprouting! Upon closer inspection, we can see some yellow squash and spinach sprouts that are super close to the surface and could pop through any day!

Below is a picture of the turnip greens!

Spring garden planted!

Howdy!

Matt and I thank our Heavenly Father for the refreshing rain followed by the warm sun. We spent time this weekend sowing seeds in our backyard garden (squash and jalapeño peppers (thanks to jen for getting us the seeds!) lettuce, spinach, turnip greens, onion, and purple beans.). We look forward to raising and harvesting a yummy crop.
