Delicious and adorable 4th of July gift from our niece!

Our oldest niece, Hope, made us a lovely 4th of July gift. Hope got the idea from a picture she saw on the Internet. She got the basket ribbons, silk flowers, and candy bars at Wal Mart and then had a fun time putting the basket together. Matt and I were so surprised!  It looks great ( and also is filled with yummy treats!).  Happy 4th of July!

Skylar's handiwork

What a fun treat! Mom and Dad Strother, Spence and Joshelyn and our
nieces and nephew (Hope, Skylar, Taylar, Kaelyn, and Connor) came to
spend a lovely summer afternoon with us. All the girls headed for the
pool (complete with water slides and spray jets) and had a great time.
The guys smoked some chickens and browsed the local Academy store. We
all met back at our home for a delicious meal of smoked chicken and
coleslaw, potato salad, and homemade ice cream.
Afterward, Skylar and Taylar displayed their artistic talent! What an
artist Skylar is!
